Superconducting cosmic strings, which may have formed during spontaneous symmetry breaking in the early universe, have been used recently in constructing cosmological scenarios. Several authors have suggested that the longevity of stable string trajectories would be a problem for such scenarios. It is shown here that stable trajectories are a generic feature of superconducting cosmic string theories.
