I HAVE read with much interest the remarks of Dr. S. Archer in NATURE,
vol. xv. p. 313, on the habits of Rynchonycteris naso, Wied. (=
Proboscidea saxatilis et rivalis, Spix.), as they quite agree with notes
on the same species made by me when travelling some years ago in British
Guiana.
