The question of one possible law of behavior of day-side planetary ionospheres, based on the fact that the plasma densities at the main maxima of ionospheres are relatively close, is discussed. A relation between the parameters of the ionospheric layer of a planet at the plasma-density maximum is derived using the methods of the theory of dimensional analysis and on the basis of the principle of physical similarity. A comparison is made with experimental data.
