Three-Body Problem: Restricted, Three-Body Problem: Periodic Orbits

Scientific paper

The periodic motions of a satellite about the center of mass on periodic orbits near L4 of the restricted circular three-body problem are investigated. It is assumed that the satellite is a rigid body with a triaxial central ellipsoid of inertia. The problem of the existence of (2πn)-periodic motions produced by plane rotations and oscillations of arbitrary amplitude and their stability are examined.
