Properties of self-gravitating vortex fields - magnetic, spinor, and rotating continuous medium - are examined with application to astrophysics. It is demonstrated that they can induce the vortex gravitational field whose energy-momentum tensor obeys the local law of energy conservation; moreover, energy domination conditions are violated for its components which leads to the possibility of forming wormholes. Solutions of the Einstein equations for stationary distributions of self-gravitating vortex fields with spacetime wormholes geometry are presented.
