By using the more stringent nonlinear second order slow-roll approximation, we found that the nonlinear second order equation of Stewart and Lyth is of the Abel type of the first kind. Here we prove that its unique polynomial solution is a first order one. We apply this unique solution to reconstruct the inflationary potential from a more phenomenological point of view, compatible with recent COBE and CAT data.
