It is demonstrated experimentally that the CO/H_2O, CH_4/H_2O, and C_2H_6/H_2O ratios found by Mumma et al. (1996) in Comet Hyakutake could be obtained by the trapping of these gases in water ice which was formed at 64-66 K. The formation of the ice particles which formed comets, either in the warm outskirts of the interstellar cloud or in the outer part of the solar nebula, is discussed. C_3H_8 is predicted to exist in comets as well.
