We show for several classes of dynamical spacetimes, that one can find quantum states such that there is no particle production when the Einstein equations are satisfied. The quantum fields considered are scalar fields and gravitons. The spacetimes considered are the isotropically evolving universes and a more general class of conformally ultrastatic metrics. The self-consistent quantum field-spacetime systems include the physically interesting matter- and radiation-dominated universes.
