Telescopes: Focal Reducers

Scientific paper

For the purpose of getting more sky coverage on a small CCD, versions of
an F/1 focal reducer were designed for the prime foci of the Kitt Peak
National Observatory F/2.8 4-metre, the F/1.75 Keck 10-metre and the
F/3.8 3.6-metre Canada France Hawaii telescopes. The optics consist of a
concave hyperboloidal mirror followed by a triplet spherical lens.
