The image stabilisation system MARTINI has been constructed and the individual elements tested. Simulations have shown that the improvements in image size to be expected are a factor of 3 or 4, but the determination of the optimum values of the instrument's parameters T,v,g in the operational environment must await the installation of the system on the GHRIL platform of the William Herschel Telescope.
