The electric quadrupole and magnetic dipole transition probabilities between the 3p6 4s2 2s(1/2) and the 3p6 3d2 2D(3/2) 2D(5/2) levels for K through Mo(23+) have been calculated in the relativistic Dirac-Fock single-configuration approximation. The positions of the excited 4s2 S(1/2) level are predicted for Mn(7+) to Mo(23+). The fine-structure splitting in the ground configuration 3p6 3d is also discussed.
