An optical polarization map is presented for the compact nebulosity near the IR source GL 2591. The major illuminating source of the visible nebulosity is totally obscured from direct view at optical wavelengths and is embedded within obscuration in the central region of the nebula. The proposed new source is located some 15 arcsec west of the known IR source and may be another member of the proposed young star cluster in the region.
