The average diurnal values of cosmic ray currents and density are analyzed with attention to sunspot activity and the intensity of the coronal green line at 5303 A. Cosmic ray data obtained during the years 1964 to 1969 at the high-latitude observatory in Inuvik are presented. The distribution of the coronal green line intensity with respect to the solar latitude is also examined, and the implications of differences in intensity detected in the northern and southern hemispheres are discussed.
