We statistically analyzed U-V colors of 552 Sa to Sc galaxies and investigated the star formation history depending on physical size of galaxy. We made size vs U-V diagram for each morphology, Sa, Sb, and Sc, and found that in all three morphologies smaller-sized galaxies have larger dispersions in U-V. We converted the U-V color to a star formation rate (SFR) ratio, present-to-past averaged SFR; the dispersion in the color for the smaller-sized galaxies implies an intermittent character in their star formation histories.
