A molecular cloud complex with a radial velocity of 40 km/sec is located in front of and near Sgr A. An investigation based on a high-resolution study of the formaldehyde absorption arising in the molecular cloud is conducted regarding the characteristics of the motion of the cloud. It is found that the kinematics of the cloud can be interpreted in terms of an outward expansion from the nucleus. This is consistent with the motion of spiral features more distant from the galactic center.
