The distribution of the detection frequency and mean intensity of solar
X-ray bursts in terms of heliographic longitude is studied for the
period from 1970 to 1973. The observed unevenness of the distribution is
interpreted as an effect due to anisotropy in the nonthermal component
of X-ray emission from solar flares.
