An experimental setup was developed to investigate collisional processes between protoplanetary and/or protocometary particles. The relative velocities of the order-of-mm-sized particles can be varied from approx. 10 cm/s to approximately 10 m/s. The first experiments were performed with fluffy agglomerates of particles each consisting of a glass core and an organic mantle (n-pentacosane) at relative velocities around 1.2 m/s. No sticking of the collided agglomerates was observed for relative amounts of n-pentacosane lower than or equal to 17 weight percent, whereas sticking was observed for relative amounts of organic material greater than or equal to 22 weight percent. The coagulation probability increases with increasing proportion of n-pentacosane.
