An analytical solution is obtained for the transport equation describing the propagation of solar cosmic ray particles in interplanetary space. The equation takes account of particle convection, diffusion and adiabatic deceleration and the emission of the particles is assumed to be steady state, spherically symmetric with a power spectrum. The modulation of nonrelativistic solar protons is studied as a particular case.
