A great deal of effort has gone into the determination of the primordial abundances of the light isotopes as inferred from observation. Here we will discuss just two aspects of these observational studies, which tentatively suggest that the storm clouds may be gathering for the SBB (standard big bang) nucleosynthesis model. The first of these is the determination of the primordial He-4 abundance.
