A study of some basic problems of the Special theory of Relativity, aiming at a better understanding of this physical theory and an enlightening of some diufficult aspects, is entered upon. All the problems, we are dealing wiith in this work, are contained in the Einstein's paper "Electrodynamics of moving bodies" published in 1905. Thhe conclussion is entirely coherent and free of any contradictions.
