Using a model of a homogeneous time-invariant magnetoplasma, it is shown that the analytical properties of the relevant nonrelativistic magnetoplasma dispersion function demonstrate the stability of arbitrary particle populations of isotropic velocity distributions with respect to the propagation of electromagnetic waves along the ambient magnetic field. It follows that, because complete spherical shells are a special case of isotropic distributions, these shells are stable for parallel electromagnetic propagation.
