On the basis of stellar data from the catalogue of astrometric characteristics of the programme of the Galaxy main meridional section and for long period variable stars it is established that old stars in the Solar Neighbourhood represent a fragment of a spiral arm. The size of the gradients of the evolution characteristics in the direction to the perpendicular arm axis is determined. These gradients have opposite signs for young (super giants of I and II luminosity classes) and old stars.
