The letter reports the experimental generation of a linear optical path
modulation of 20 lambda range with an accuracy of lambda/200 (lambda =
633 nm) using a servo control system driving an optical fiber stretcher.
The error signal is provided by mixing interferometric signals with an
electronic oscillator.
