The scintillation time-of-flight position-sensitive detector system can be used in cosmic gamma-ray telescopes to measure the coordinates of the secondary particles. Calculations show that such a system, being of very simple construction, can provide an effective telescope area of several square meters. The dead time of such a telescope is very small and an angular resolution of a few degrees can be achieved.
