An analytic model for loop production from a single infinite cosmic string is presented. Assuming that closed loops whose lengths do not exceed a certain scale are erased immediately after production, the time evolution for the statistical properties due to a mechanism is worked out without further approximations. The random distributions, representing path-integral measures, are described by suitably well-defined generating functionals. The initial distribution needed for the evolution equations is left unspecified.
