This proposal is to observe with AXAF ACIS-I two narrow line type 1 AGN which showed in previous ROSAT PSPC and BeppoSAX MECS observations evidence of extended emission, or of a high density of surrounding point sources, on scales of a few arcmin. These observations can help in assessing the origin of the emission observed between 0.1 and 10 keV around these AGN and in understanding whether there is a connection between these peculiar active nuclei and their environment.
