Some radio observations of coronal streamers, obtained at meter-decameter wavelengths, using the Clark Lake (U.S.) multifrequency radioheliograph, are presented. Using daily imaging observations, synoptic charts similar to white light coronagraph synoptic charts were generated, and radio brightness enhancements were compared with bright coronal streamers. By using several frequencies simultaneously, it was possible to construct three dimensional structures of coronal streamers. Type 3 producing electrons are shown to propagate in coronal streamers. The relative predictions of type 3 burst sources and coronal streamers as observed by HAO C/P experiment aboard SMM are compared; the paths of type 3 emitting electrons in dense coronal streamers are inferred; from multifrequency observations, electron density distributions above active regions near the limb are derived.
