We present our ongoing project of compact wide-field optical instrumentation based on the IASF design of two-mirror, three-reflection telescopes (2MTRT), for ground and space-based observatories, and discuss preliminary tests made with a 45 cm F/5 active optics warping telescope. We also describe a 30 cm F/3 prototype, and the new 4k×4k CCD detector and the system architecture of the CCD controller. Astrophysical applications include discovery of potentially hazarduous NEAs, extrasolar planetary transits, and systematic studies of stellar variability in rich fields.
