Different methods were used to identify intermediate long-wave anomalies of the geomagnetic-field modulus over Soviet territory as well as their relationship with structures of the earth's crust, and gravitational and thermal anomalies. An effort was made to confirm the actual existence of these long-wave anomalies on the basis of combined profile studies of magnetic and gravitational fields.
