Calculations of thermal and electric conductivity, and of shear and bulk viscosity of degenerate strange matter are reviewed and their results compared with those for normal neutron star matter. Neutrino opacities and emissivities of hot strange matter under various astrophysical conditions are discussed, and compared with corresponding quantities for hot neutron star matter.
