The application of multipoint direct Hermitian interpolation formulas to satellite ephemerides is discussed. The possibility to use Hermitian interpolation formulas in the interpolation of ephemeris state vectors is attributable to various factors. The state vectors can be expressed in the form of a function and its derivatives. Satellite ephemerides, considered as functions, are both uniformly bounded and equicontinuous, and can, therefore, be very accurately interpolated by polynomials.
