The structure of the perturbed solar wind and the forward portion of a streamlined body was studied by Pivovarov (1974) on the basis of a solution to the problem of the flow of the solar wind plasma past a conducting sphere, obtained for the case of parallel mass-velocity and magnetic-field-intensity vectors. The analysis is extended to the case where these vectors are not parallel.
