The cancellation of the nonlinear aberration in optical systems for holographic three dimensional reduction is demonstrated. Telescope-like images and more elaborate zoom-like systems are shown to produce undistorted three dimensional demagnified images, within a range of arbitrary magnification values. The role of the reduction-enlargement system in holography may lead to a new holographic display approach where small size diapositive-like holograms are projected by an inverse telescope system to larger real-like images.
