Lengthy (October 31, 1983-January 6, 1984) virtually continuous observations of the Galactic center region were carried out during the X-ray experiment on the high-apogee (720,000 km) Prognoz-9 mission. Processing via the method of 'epoch folding' of the time sets of 10-min-average counting rates in the keV energy range yielded frequency spectra of X-ray flux variations revealing previously unknown periods in the hour range, namely, 13, 9.4, 1.96, and 1.078 h.
