Usually transformational superplasticity (TS) has been observed by temperature-induced phase transition at ambient pressure. But it is important both to physics and especially to geophysics to investigate the phenomenon of TS also by the pressure-induced phase transition. Using elementary plasticity theory we have shown that the diamond anvil cell (DAC) experiments with ungasketed samples may be used for the study of TS by pressure-induced phase transition.
