The secular instability of a self-gravitating homogeneous spheroid with
an azimuthal magnetic field is investigated. Only usual viscosity is
taken into consideration. It is shown that the point of the secular
instability beginning in the course of figure flattening does not depend
on the value of the secondary magnetic field.
