Hypercompact (HC) HII regions have recently been recognized as a key stage in the process of massive star formation. It is this time frame which may hold the key to overcoming radiation pressure, and building up stars of greater than 10 M_&sun;. The physical properties and nature of HC HII regions are largely unknown at this point. G28.20-0.04N is one of only few HC HII regions with resolved morphology and velocity structure. Detailed, multi-wavelength study and modeling of G28.20- 0.04N will provide crucial information on this class of sources. To develop a legitimate model of G28.20N, we need to take into account both the gas and dust emission. We derived physical properties of the ionized gas in G28.20-0.04N based on our high-resolution study at radio wavelengths; however, we lack information on the dust properties and distribution in this HC HII region. We propose to obtain the high- resolution T-ReCS images of the HC HII region G28.20-0.04N using the N (broad 10 (mu)m) and Qa (18.3 (mu)m) filters to determine physical properties and distribution of gas in this source at the scales comparable to our radio data. T-ReCS observations may also shed light on the interaction between the HC HII region and the parent IRDC.
