The main goal of this proposal is to determine the nature of the X-ray absorption associated with BAL and NAL systems over a range of X-ray luminosities. The magnification factors for our sample of GL systems range between 20 and 90, depending on the lens geometry, allowing us to investigate the properties of BAL quasars with X-ray luminosities that are substantially lower than those of unlensed ones.
