This paper discusses: (1) the relation between asteroids and short period comets. (2) The relation of near-Earth asteroids (NEAs) to main-belt asteroids and to short period comets. Recent observations and studies indicate that some of the asteroids have originally relation with comets and some of the NEA originate probably from main-belt asteroids and extinct cometary nuclei.
