The study presents a qualitative picture for scattering of waves by a
single dust particle, focusing on linear as well as nonlinear transition
scatterings in dusty plasmas. Attention is given to dust in the universe
and in laboratory plasma, grain charging, and the theory of nonlinear
transition scattering.
