Meteors: Methods Of Observation

Scientific paper

Meteor studies are carried out in the amateur community by a very large number of visual observers and a very small number of radio observers. This paper describes an impromptu observing session where radio and visual meteor detections were observed simultaneously. The results strongly suggest that the scientific value of meteor data could be greatly enhanced by the merger of these two observing modes.
