Consideration is given to the anomaly in the cosmic ray proton spectrum at 1-10 TeV and to the detection of high-energy ions in cosmic rays as a possible consequence of the presence of a nearby cosmic ray source. An integral proton spectrum, the relationship of fluxes of protons and alpha particles at different energies, and differential spectra of the vertical muon flux at sea level are illustrated.
