The contributions of ozone-hydrogen and superhydroxyl processes to the excitation of the lower vibrational levels of the ground state of hydroxyl molecules are analyzed on the basis of data on the delay time between intensity variations of OH emission and its vibrational temperature due to the passage of an internal gravity wave in the mesopause. It is shown that the contribution of the ozone-hydrogen process varies in the course of the year from 0.3 to 0.6, having a tendency to increase in the summer. This leads to the conclusion that the superhydroxyl process plays a significant role in the excitation of the lower (v equal to or less than 6) vibrational levels of the hydroxyl molecule.
