Image-tube spectra at 43 Å/mm were obtained at CTIO for the stars of Yale proper motion group no. 38 and radial velocities were determined from these spectra. The radial velocity distribution of this group has two peaks at -10 and -40 km/s indicating that it may consist of at least two subgroups. The (U,V), (U,W) and (V,W) space velocity distributions of this group indicate that the majority of stars is forming a relatively tight group in the UVW space except for the giant stars in the group. It is evident that these giants are unrelated to the group of stars although they share the same proper motion.
