The Opportunity Rover is currently investigating the largest contiguous
expanse of in situ outcrop ever been visited by a landed spacecraft on
Mars. It lies just inside the degraded west rim of Erebus Crater - 4
kilometers from where the exploratory mission began in Eagle Crater.
