The redshift excess in the Sb, Sbc, and Sc galaxies of the Perseus supercluster was examined in terms of the magnitudes of the objects. The average Hubble module was calculated for each type of galaxy in the central cluster to show that it varies in the same way that the redshift excess occurs. Attention is given to reference galaxies of different types for comparisons of the average absolute magnitudes with the Perseus galaxies relative to the types where the redshifts occur. Consideration is also given to the differences of the average radial velocities between the Sigma galaxies of no more than magnitude 12.4 and the SO galaxies of less than 13.4 magnitude in the central cluster. The Sigma galaxies were brighter than the SO galaxies, as well as displaying greater redshifts. The magnitude cutoff did not correlate well with the excess redshift.
