There are density irregularity structures with some flow variations such as the equatorial to low latitude topside ionospheric density bubbles and blobs that have been reported in the literature. Contrasting to theses density irregularity structures, we present events of large wavy flow motions with little or nil density variations that were observed at the topside ionosphere by ROCSAT. These events occurred during the geomagnetic sudden commencement (SC) periods or in the substorm related field-line resonance (FLR) event. The large flow motions are apparently caused by the passage of the waves through the ROCSAT during the geomagnetic disturbed periods. For the SC related events, the wave transit time at the ROCSAT observed location is too short to modify the topside ionosphere to manifest any noticeable density variation. While in the FLR event, it is due to the non-compressible nature of the wave. Details of the observations are presented and discussed.
