The activities include the definition of an experimental program for the Tethered Satellite System mission; active ionospheric experiments related to the space shuttle; Doppler detection of the gravitational waves from the ISPM ESA satellite; design of plasma and magnetic experiments for the Giotto ESA satellite; and research to keep a high sensitivity in the detection of gravitational waves while avoiding the use of extra low temperatures by the quantum nondemolition principle.
