The non-resonant 16O(α,γ)20Ne reaction
has been studied in a microscopic potential model which reproduces both
the correct binding energies and the deformations of the 20Ne
bound states. The astrophysical S-factor is found to increase linearly
with energy in the range Ecm~0.4 -2 MeV.
