An analysis of the velocity field in a numerical simulation of gravitational clustering of matter under adiabatic perturbations is presented. The peculiar velocities at the boundaries of voids are much less than the diameter of the void multiplied by the Hubble constant. Infall velocities into mass concentrations are much lower than in spherically symmetric models, so that these may severely underestimate Ω, the cosmological density parameter.
